Your Family Guide to Greater Milwaukee 2025 Art Fairs
Summer and fall in the Milwaukee area bring a fantastic opportunity to explore local art, enjoy the outdoors, and have some family fun! As a family with a love for dance and an appreciation for creative expression, we've put together a guide to some wonderful art and craft fairs. These events are perfect for inspiring young artists and finding unique treasures.
Here are some highlights from the upcoming art fair season:
August Art Fairs
Firefly Art Fair
Date: Aug 2-3
Location: Kneeland-Walker House, 7406 Hillcrest Drive, Wauwatosa
What to expect: This 39th annual fair will feature fine art by local and national artists showing paintings, pottery, ceramics, glass, jewelry, fiber art, mosaics, photography, pen and ink drawings, metal work and wood. The weekend includes baked goods and pie, a food truck and beverages, live music, a silent auction, and a floral arranging workshop. An indoor exhibit will present "Wauwatosa Goes to War" with displays featuring photographs, uniforms, and memorabilia.
Admission: $10 for adults and free for children age 12 and younger.

Starving Artist Fair
Date: Aug 3
Location: The DeKoven Center, Wisconsin Ave. and 21st St., Racine
What to expect: This juried art show is a showcase for artists from Racine county and throughout the Midwest, representing nearly every medium of original art.

Morning Glory Art Fair
Date: Aug 9-10
Location: The Plaza at Fiserv Forum, 1111 Phillips Ave., Milwaukee
What to expect: This art fair is celebrating 50 years of bringing juried art to Milwaukee. It will include the 2024 best of show award-winner, Mark Winter, and award of merit winners Kate Marotz and Andrew Krueger, joining more than 100 other artists.

Art in the Park
Date: Aug 9-10
Location: Flat Iron Park, 201 Wrigley Drive, Lake Geneva
What to expect: The Geneva Lake Arts Foundation event features more than 80 artists exhibiting a variety of media, and includes a silent auction on artwork, and a "Just for Kids" activity area.

Watertown Riverfest Craft Fair
Date: Aug 9-10
Location: Rotary Island in Watertown, accessible from Riverside Park, 812 Labaree St.
What to expect: The craft fair is held as part of a larger community festival and displays works by artists from throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Beverage and food vendors also will be available.

Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts
Date: Aug 16-17
Location: Fowler Park, 438 N. Oakwood Ave., Oconomowoc
What to expect: For over 50 years, the festival has featured artists from around the country and offered scholarships to young artists and musicians majoring in the fine arts. The Oconomowoc Festival of the Arts includes a silent art auction, a children's area, musical entertainment, food, and refreshments.

Donna Lexa Memorial Art Fair
Date: Aug 23
Location: Wales Community Park, 500 S. Brandybrook Road, Wales
What to expect: This juried event exhibits fine arts and crafts, including paintings, photography, pottery, glass, wood, jewelry, metal, mixed media, drawings, and fiber art. Proceeds from the art fair benefit local nonprofit organizations.

Wade House Arts and Crafts Fair
Date: Aug 24
Location: Wade House historic site, W7824 Center Road, Greenbush
What to expect: The day includes a fair featuring handmade works, with craft demonstrations held throughout the grounds. Potters, quilters, metal workers, woodworkers, and herbalists are just some of the trades represented.
Admission: $6, and tickets can be purchased in advance online.

Third Ward Art Festival
Date: Aug 30-31
Location: Broadway from St. Paul Avenue to East Menomonee Street
What to expect: This street festival features the work of more than 120 juried artists from around the country working in a variety of media. The festival includes an art tent for kids, artist demonstrations and booth chats, live music, and food and beverages from area restaurants.

Walk in the Woods Art Fair
Date: Sep 6
Location: Hawthorn Hollow, 880 Green Bay Road, Kenosha
What to expect: Over 70 artists will show a variety of fine art, ranging from glass to garden art, wood sculpting to jewelry, and paintings to photography. The day includes a silent auction, food and beverages, and live music.

Harvest of Art & Crafts
Date: Sep 6-7
Location: Trimborn Farm in Greendale. Park at Southridge Mall and take the free shuttle to the farm.
What to expect: This juried art fair features local artisans. Event proceeds support the historic preservation of Trimborn Farm, and Milwaukee County Historical Society programming.
Admission: $8, with a $3 discount for shuttle riders (cash only).

Holy Hill Arts and Crafts Fair
Date: Sep 20
Location: Grounds of the Basilica and National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Holy Hill, 1525 Carmel Road, Hubertus
What to expect: Hundreds of artists and craftsmen will present their work. The annual fair has been held for over 50 years, offering shuttle service to parking, food and refreshments, a silent auction, and the parish pantry.

MKE Studio Tour
Date: Oct 4-5
Location: Various artist studios throughout Milwaukee County
What to expect: Explore artist studios and work spaces on a self-guided tour. The tour provides an opportunity to meet local artists working throughout Milwaukee County and view a variety of artworks for sale. Wisconsin Craft also offers an online directory for people to easily purchase signature items from more than 80 Wisconsin and regional artists.
