Spring Yard Waste Schedule in the North Shore

Yard work with chainsaw

With the arrival of spring, North Shore families are stepping outside to refresh their yards after months of snow, ice, and winter debris. Whether you're prepping flower beds, trimming bushes, or clearing out last year's leaves, it's important to know how and when to properly dispose of your yard waste.

Each community follows its own schedule and guidelines. Here’s what you need to know:

Whitefish Bay Yard Waste Collection

🗓️ Start Date: Week of April 7, 2025
How to Prepare:

  • Yard waste must be placed in paper yard waste bags or reusable containers designated for collection.

  • Do not rake or blow yard waste into the street. This can clog drains and create safety hazards.

Bayside Yard Waste Collection

  • Yard waste must be out before 7 am on Monday, April 7, to ensure your items will be picked up.

  • Yard waste must be at least 3 feet away from mailboxes and other structures, branches must be less than 5' long, branches must be parallel to the road and cannot be in plastic bags.

  • Yard waste should be placed in paper bags or yard waste carts if possible.

  • If your pile is greater than 10' long x 5' wide x 5' high, you will need a special pick-up which can be requested here.
