Here are the important dates for the 2026–2027 school year, including district-wide breaks, early dismissals and school-specific academic dates.
The calendar covers Cumberland Elementary, Richards Elementary, Whitefish Bay Middle School and Whitefish Bay High School. Most no-school days apply throughout the district, while certain orientations, grading dates and exams apply only to specific schools.
The calendar was approved by the Whitefish Bay School Board on March 12, 2025, but remains subject to change. Families should consult the district’s official 2026–2027 family calendar before making travel or child-care arrangements.

Tuesday, September 1, 2026
Cumberland Elementary, Richards Elementary and Whitefish Bay Middle School begin September 1.
At Whitefish Bay High School, ninth graders attend all day, while students in grades 10–12 begin at noon.

The final day is an early-dismissal day throughout the district.
