Fox Point Pool Looks at Naming Rights Options for Fundraising

Fox point pool

The Village of Fox Point is diving into the next stage of its much-anticipated new municipal pool project, and the community is being invited to play a creative role in bringing it to life. At the August Village Board meeting, the Friends of the Fox Point Pool introduced a naming rights fundraising initiative—a chance for families, local businesses, and community members to make their mark on the pool while helping fund the project.

How It Works

The idea is still being shaped. Village Attorney Eric Larson has been tasked with drafting an official naming rights policy, which will be reviewed at an upcoming Village Board meeting. But the Friends group has already gathered momentum, introducing new members and outlining the ways this initiative could make a big splash for fundraising goals.

Naming rights are exactly what they sound like: individuals, families, or organizations who contribute at certain giving levels will be able to “name” parts of the pool facility. That could mean everything from sponsoring a lane in the lap pool, to putting your family name on a poolside bench, to helping fund splash-zone features for the youngest swimmers.

The naming rights project also gives families a chance to leave a lasting legacy. Imagine your children growing up knowing that their family helped bring the pool to life—and seeing their name proudly displayed whenever they walk through the gates.

What’s Next

The official policies and sponsorship levels will be rolled out this fall. In the meantime, the Friends of the Fox Point Pool are encouraging community members to get involved, ask questions, and consider how they might support the project.

If you’re looking for a way to make an impact—and to give your kids a future full of summer pool days—keep an eye out for updates from the Village of Fox Point and the Friends of the Pool group.
