Give Back: Stan's Shoes 20th Annual Share-A-Pair Shoe Drive

stan's share a pair

Looking for a meaningful way to teach your children about community service and helping others? The Stan's Shoes Share-A-Pair Shoe Drive makes it incredibly easy for families to make a real difference in our neighborhood this February.

For two decades, Stan's Shoes has been collecting shoes for Milwaukee's less fortunate, and the results are truly impressive: over 400,000 pairs of shoes donated since the program began. This year marks the 20th anniversary of this heartwarming initiative, and they've added two deserving new nonprofit partners to their recipient list: Street Angels and Bob's Under the Bridge.

The most convenient location for North Shore families is:

Stan's Shoes – Glendale
505 W. Silver Spring Drive
(Across from Bayshore)

Store Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.

  • Saturday: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

  • Sunday: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

The drive runs throughout February (February 1-28, 2026), so you can easily stop by while you're already in the area shopping or dining at Bayshore.

What to Donate

Stan's Shoes is accepting:

  • New or gently used shoes (all types: sneakers, sandals, boots)

  • All sizes: men's, women's, and children's

  • New socks

Simply drop your donations in the Share-A-Pair collection bin inside the store—it's that easy!

Where Your Donations Go

Your family's donations will support several vital Milwaukee-area organizations:

  • Bob's Under the Bridge (NEW partner for 2026)

  • Street Angels (NEW partner for 2026)

  • Milwaukee Rescue Mission/Joy House

  • Hope House

  • Sojourner Family Peace Center

  • Repairers of the Breach Homeless Day Shelter

  • Father Gene's HELP Center

Any remaining donations support Soles4Souls, a global nonprofit providing footwear to people in need across more than 125 countries.

Bonus: Get $10 Off Your Next Purchase

Here's a win-win: everyone who donates receives $10 off their next regular-price shoe or handbag purchase at any Stan's Shoes location (valid through March 1, 2026). So you can teach your kids about giving back AND get a great deal on quality footwear!

Additional Ways to Give

  • Round Up at Checkout: When shopping at Stan's Shoes in February, you can round up your purchase to support the nonprofit partners

  • Host Your Own Shoe Drive: Churches, schools, scout troops, or neighborhood groups can organize their own collection drives. Email hello@stansshoes.com to get started!

The Share-A-Pair Shoe Drive is a beautiful reminder that people are helping each other every day right here in our community. It's also a perfect teaching opportunity for children:

  • Tangible Impact: Kids can physically see and touch the shoes they're donating

  • Easy to Understand: Everyone needs shoes—it's a need children can easily relate to

  • Immediate Action: No complicated sign-ups or long-term commitments

  • Community Connection: Introduces kids to local nonprofits doing important work

Throughout February, Stan's Shoes will spotlight their nonprofit partners on Facebook and Instagram, giving families a closer look at the meaningful work these organizations do. It's a great way to continue the conversation with your kids about community service.
