Summer is just around the corner, and the Mequon-Thiensville Recreation Department is rolling out an incredible lineup of programs for kids and families. Whether you're looking for an outdoor adventure, a creative challenge, or a way to stay active, there’s something for everyone.
Registration opens on the Mequon-Thiensville website on Monday, March 3, at 9 am—and with popular programs expected to fill up fast, early sign-ups are encouraged.
If your child thrives on adventures and hands-on activities, these programs are sure to be a hit:
🏹 Youth Archery – Kids (ages 8+) can learn the fundamentals of archery in a safe and structured environment. Sessions take place at the Lakeshore Middle School Archery Range.
💡 Mad Science Programs – From Robot Invasion to Bubbling Potions & Fizzy Formulas, these STEM-based camps provide interactive experiments for kids ages 5-12.
🛟 Youth Lifeguard Training – This American Red Cross course prepares teens (15+) for lifesaving certification. Held at the Mequon City Pool.
⚡ Computer Explorers – Kids can learn coding, game design, and robotics in engaging classes like Lego Robotics and Motor Madness - Remote Control Machines.
🚴 Kids’ Campus & Summer Camps – Whether your child is looking for a full-day summer camp experience or enrichment-focused morning sessions, there are plenty of options.
⚽ Youth Open Kickball & Wiffle Ball – Perfect for kids who love playground games and friendly competition. These non-instructional programs focus on fun and teamwork.
🔥 Dodgeball Camp – High-energy action for kids in grades 4-7 who love throwing, dodging, and competing in fun, structured games.
🎭 Summer Drama Camp – Aspiring actors (grades 5-8) can take the stage at Village Park in Thiensville to perform.
🏃 Homestead Cross Country Running Program – Young runners can train with expert coaches in this endurance-focused summer camp.
🏀 Milwaukee Bucks Youth Basketball Camp – A high-energy basketball skills camp featuring instruction, scrimmages, and even a ticket to a Bucks game for participants.
🥏 Ultimate Frisbee Camp – A week-long program led by Madison Radicals professional players for kids ages 8-14.
