sounds of summer

Silver Spring Drive will become an outdoor concert venue when Sounds of Summer returns Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Presented by the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation, this free community celebration brings neighbors together for live music, food, drinks and dancing in the heart of downtown Whitefish Bay.

Sounds of Summer 2026 at a Glance

  • Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026

  • Time: 6–10 p.m.

  • Location: Silver Spring Drive in downtown Whitefish Bay

  • Admission: Free

  • Featured performer: Steve Beguhn

  • What to bring: Folding chairs or a blanket

Live Music from Steve Beguhn

Milwaukee-area musician Steve Beguhn will headline the 2026 celebration. Expect an energetic, crowd-friendly performance designed to get Silver Spring Drive dancing.

Beguhn may be familiar to local audiences from his run on NBC’s The Voice and performances throughout southeastern Wisconsin. His Sounds of Summer appearance is scheduled for the full evening, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Food, Drinks and a Downtown Picnic

Sounds of Summer feels like a giant neighborhood block party. Bring chairs, claim a spot along Silver Spring Drive and make an evening of it.

Food and beverages will be available during the event, but families can also pick up dinner, snacks or dessert from one of the surrounding Whitefish Bay businesses. The Merchants of Whitefish Bay encourage guests to bring a tablecloth and turn the evening into a downtown picnic.

Street Closure and Parking

Silver Spring Drive is expected to close between Hollywood Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard beginning around 11 a.m. Saturday as organizers prepare for the concert.

Because parking near the event can fill quickly, walking or biking is a good option for nearby families. Drivers should allow extra time and look for legal street parking on surrounding blocks.

Make the Most of the Evening

A few tips before you go:

  • Bring folding chairs or a picnic blanket.

  • Arrive early if you want a spot close to the stage.

  • Bring cash and a card in case vendors have different payment options.

  • Leave pets at home if they are uncomfortable around crowds or loud music.

  • Check the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation’s event calendar before leaving for any weather-related updates.

Sounds of Summer takes place Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. on Silver Spring Drive. The date is also listed on the Village of Whitefish Bay’s 2026 business district event schedule.
