Lawn chairs or a blanket, a light jacket for river breezes, bug spray, refillable water bottles, and cash or card for the Hubbard Park Lodge outdoor bar. Picnics from local favorites (City Market, Falbo Bros., Oakland Gyros) travel well, too.
Getting There
The small park lot fills fast—consider free village parking at Shorewood High School after 5 pm, bike racks near the Oak Leaf Trail entrance, or Milwaukee County Transit Route 14, which stops two blocks west on Oakland Avenue.
Mark your calendar and invite a friend—Summer Sounds is one of the easiest ways to savor a Wednesday night close to home. Whether you stay for a single song or settle in for the full set, these six free concerts promise easy rhythms, fresh air, and another reason to celebrate summer on the North Shore.
