Cedarburg Trick-or-Treat 2026: Date, Hours and Halloween Guide

Get the costumes and candy buckets ready! The City of Cedarburg will hold its official neighborhood trick-or-treating on Halloween night in 2026.

Cedarburg Trick-or-Treat Hours for 2026

Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026
Time: 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Participating neighborhoods throughout the City of Cedarburg

Cedarburg’s three-hour schedule gives families time to begin before sunset and continue after dark. Sunset is expected shortly before 6 p.m., so bring flashlights, glow sticks or other lights that make children easier for drivers to see.

Residents who plan to distribute candy should turn on their porch lights. Trick-or-treaters should visit only homes that appear to be participating.

City of Cedarburg or Town of Cedarburg?

The City of Cedarburg and Town of Cedarburg are separate municipalities and may establish different trick-or-treat schedules.

The Saturday, October 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. schedule applies to the City of Cedarburg. Families living in the surrounding Town of Cedarburg should watch the Town of Cedarburg website for its official 2026 announcement.

Tips for a Safe Halloween Night

A few simple preparations can help keep the evening fun for everyone:

• Add reflective tape, glow sticks or lights to costumes and candy bags.

• Carry a flashlight once it begins getting dark.

• Make sure masks and costumes do not obstruct a child’s vision.

• Cross streets at intersections and look in both directions.

• Keep younger children with an adult.

• Remind older children to travel together and agree on a return time.

• Drivers should slow down and watch carefully for children entering the street.

• Check treats before children begin eating them.

• Keep pets indoors or secured away from the front door.
