How to Get Into Irish Fest for Free (2025 Guide)

Milwaukee Irish Fest

This year, Milwaukee Irish Fest runs August 14–17, 2025 at Henry Maier Festival Park. Although general admission is ticketed, there are several smart ways families can score free entry while enjoying Irish music, dancing, and culture without spending a dime.

For everything to do at the festival, see our ultimate guide to Irish Fest 2025.

1. Volunteer (All Ages Welcome 🎈)

Volunteer with Milwaukee Irish Fest and receive complimentary admission for the duration of your shift—plus discounted parking (about $5) . Over 4,300 volunteers help make this event possible . Kids as young as 6 (with a guardian) can join, making this a wonderful family activity.

2. Donate School Supplies (Thursday, Aug 14 – Grand Hooley Night)

On opening night, donate school supplies—like notebooks or markers—at the gate and receive a free admission pass. Great way to give back and start the event early.

3. Run or Walk in the Arthritis Foundation 5K (Saturday)

Register for the Arthritis Foundation 5K Run/Walk to Irish Fest and get free entry included . It’s a scenic route along the lakefront and a fun, active way for adults and kids to enter.

4. Donate Food at Sunday Mass (Sunday, Aug 17)

Head to South Gate between 8–11 a.m. and donate at least three non-perishable food items to the Hunger Task Force. You'll get a hand-stamp for free admission all day . Families can attend mass together, or simply take the stamp and enjoy the festival grounds.

5. Veteran & Military Perks (Sunday)

All veterans—active and retired—with valid ID can bring one guest for free on Sunday . Though primarily military, many retired service families can benefit from this generous offer.

6. Donate to Ward Irish Music Archives

If you have 10+ original Irish‑music items—vinyl, CDs, sheet music—you can donate them at the main gate and score two free tickets . Great for collectors or educators with heritage items to share.

7. Free for Kids Under 13 (All Days)

Children 12 and under are always free when accompanied by a paying adult. Perfect for families—no extra ticket needed for younger children.

Milwaukee Irish Fest isn’t just for ticket holders! With a little planning—volunteering, donating, or joining a fun run—you can access this festive cultural experience for free. It’s a budget-friendly, culturally rich outing that makes for lasting North Shore family memories.
