Celebrating the Fourth of July in Milwaukee’s North Shore means parades, decorated bikes, ice cream socials, live music, food trucks, lakefront fireworks and plenty of hometown traditions. Here’s your 2026 guide to Independence Day events in Shorewood, Glendale, Bayside, Fox Point, Whitefish Bay, Brown Deer and nearby Mequon/Thiensville, Grafton and Cedarburg.

Shorewood Fourth of July
The Shorewood Independence Day Parade begins at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Before the parade, kids can join the Bike Decorating Contest at 2 p.m. at the former Kensington Liquor parking lot. The parade route has changed this year due to construction, so families should check the latest Shorewood Foundation map before heading out.
After the parade, families can gather at Atwater School for ice cream and entertainment. Later in the evening, the celebration moves toward Atwater Beach for the fireworks crowd.
Shorewood’s fireworks are scheduled for dusk at Atwater Beach. Arrive early for lakefront viewing and check the official event page before heading out, especially if storms are in the forecast.
Glendale Fourth of July
A children’s parade at 10 am kicks off Fourth of July festivities in Glendale, WI

The Glendale Fourth of July celebration takes place at Kletzsch Park, 6650 N. Milwaukee River Parkway.
The Children’s Parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by the Main Parade at 10:30 a.m. Parade participants gather near Parkway School, and families are encouraged to decorate bikes, wagons and strollers.
Evening activities begin around 4:30 p.m. with the Food Truck Festival. Families can also enjoy bouncy houses, a dunk tank, face painting, henna and the North Shore Fire/Rescue “Super Soak” at 5 p.m.
Live music by The Cheap Shots runs from 6 to 9 p.m.
Glendale’s fireworks are scheduled for dusk over Kletzsch Park. Bring chairs or blankets for the evening celebration.
Bayside Fourth of July
Bayside’s annual Fourth of July parade begins at 9 am and ends at Ellsworth Park

Bayside’s annual Fourth of July Parade begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Participants should gather at Village Hall by 8:45 a.m.
The parade starts at Village Hall, heads east on Ellsworth Lane, south on Rexleigh Drive, north on King Road, east on Ellsworth Lane and ends at Ellsworth Park.
After the parade, families can enjoy treats at Ellsworth Park, along with the annual Best Decorated Bike and Most Patriotic Dog contests.
Bayside does not hold a fireworks display.
Fox Point Fourth of July

Fox Point’s Fourth of July festivities are a morning celebration organized by the Fox Point Foundation.
Bike decorating takes place from 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. at the Fox Point Police Station. The kids’ bike parade begins at 8:45 a.m., followed by parade marchers and vehicles at 9 a.m.
The parade starts at Village Hall, heads north on Santa Monica Boulevard, then continues to Lombardy Road, Bell Road and Longacre Road.
The celebration continues with an Ice Cream Social from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Longacre Pavilion, 7343 N. Longacre Road.
Fox Point does not hold a fireworks display.
Whitefish Bay Fourth of July
Whitefish Bay’s 4th of July parade beings at 11:30 am
Whitefish Bay’s Fourth of July Parade kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at the corner of Silver Spring Drive and Kent Avenue. The parade heads east on Silver Spring Drive and then north on Lake Drive to Klode Park.
From 1 to 8 p.m. at Klode Park, families can enjoy food and beverages, kids’ games from 1 to 4 p.m., and live music.
The day ends with a fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. at Klode Park.
Mequon/ Thiensville Fun Before The Fourth
The Milwaukee Flyers will be dazzling the crowd again this year at Fun Before the Fourth from 12:30 pm-1 pm.
Mequon/Thiensville’s Fun Before the Fourth is a Saturday before July 4 tradition at Thiensville Village Park. Festivities begin with a parade at 10:30 AM. The mile-long parade starts at Mequon’s Weyenberg Library on Main Street, winds through Thiensville, and ends at Village Park (Children get free ice cream at the park after the parade.) The rest of the day is packed with activities: live music and entertainment, water-ski shows on the river, and food & drinks from local vendors (including the Rotary’s famous corn roast and Foxtown Brewing).
Demonstrations and games are scattered throughout the park all afternoon. The celebration wraps up with fireworks at dusk. The 2025 Family Fun Before the Fourth is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026 (again at Thiensville Village Park).
Brown Deer Fourth of July

Brown Deer’s Fourth of July celebration is an evening event at Village Park and Pond, 4920 W. Green Brook Drive.
The 2026 schedule includes a corn roast from 4 to 7:30 p.m., food trucks from 4 to 9 p.m., bingo from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., kids’ activities from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and live music by The King Fish Band from 6 to 9 p.m.
Brown Deer’s fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m.
