Got a Great Idea for Shorewood? Pitch It at 2026 Shark Tank
Every community has dreamers and problem-solvers—the neighbors with ideas to make their village a little better, a little more beautiful, or a little more connected. If you're one of them, the Shorewood Foundation wants to hear from you.
The Shorewood Foundation is hosting its 2026 Shark Tank event, a live pitch competition where residents and community groups can present their ideas for improving village life and potentially secure funding to make them happen. It's your chance to turn that great idea into reality while strengthening what makes Shorewood special.
Event Details
When: Tuesday, February 17, 2026, 6:30–8:30 pm
Where: Camp Bar Shorewood
Proposal Deadline: Tuesday, January 13, 2026 (priority deadline)
What Kind of Projects Are They Looking For?
The Shorewood Foundation is interested in proposals that align with at least one of these three core objectives:
Celebrate Shorewood's Culture – Projects that honor the village's unique character, values, and beauty, keeping Shorewood a special place to live, work, and visit
Connect the Community – Initiatives that build neighborly spirit while enhancing health, wellness, and quality of life
Sustain History and Nature – Ideas that preserve Shorewood's charm, civic pride, green spaces, and parks
Think you have something that fits? At least one member of your pitch team must be a Shorewood resident.
Not a Pitcher? Come Cheer On Your Neighbors
If you're not ready to pitch (or if pitching isn't your thing), the Shorewood Foundation is also inviting community members to attend. It's a fun evening to see what your neighbors are dreaming up and to show your support for improving the village. There's nothing quite like watching community members stand up and share their passion for making Shorewood even better.
Ready to Submit Your Proposal?
Head over to the Shorewood Foundation's Shark Tank page to learn more about the event, see highlights from previous winners, and submit your pitch proposal: shorewoodfoundation.org/sharktank
The deadline for priority consideration is January 13, so if you've been sitting on that brilliant idea, now's the time to get it written down and submitted.
Whether you're pitching or cheering, mark your calendar for February 17. Shorewood's future is in your hands—and your neighbors want to celebrate it with you.
This post positions the event as an accessible community opportunity rather than an intimidating business competition, which should resonate well with your family-focused audience while still highlighting the practical details they need to participate or attend.
