The next Eats & Beats concert features The Rhythm Kings, a Chicago-based variety cover band known for a crowd-friendly mix of Top 40, Motown, R&B, rock, funk and pop classics.
This is a great pick if you want a little bit of everything: dance songs, familiar sing-alongs and upbeat music that works for a multi-generation crowd. Bring a chair, grab dinner from the food trucks and settle in for an easy Thursday night in the park.

Food vendor lineup includes: S&T Cuisine, Marco Pollo, That Taco Guy, Fancy Frites, Paul’s Smokehouse & BBQ, Pig Tailz, On The Block Burgers, Fiddlesticks Kettle Corn & Lemonade, Fluff & Nonsense Concessions, Say Cheese Curd Company, GoNutz DONUTZ and Ice Cream by Glaze.
Thursday, July 16: 52nd Street with Tarrah & The Trouble
Billy Joel fans, this is the night to circle.
52nd Street brings a full Billy Joel tribute experience to Thiensville, complete with a nine-piece band and the big piano-driven hits that make for a perfect summer sing-along. Expect familiar favorites, strong musicianship and plenty of “Piano Man” energy.
The evening also includes opening act Tarrah & The Trouble, adding a mix of rock and soul before the Billy Joel tribute takes over.
Best for: Parents, grandparents, music lovers and anyone who appreciates a polished tribute show.
Make it a full evening: Arrive early for dinner, then let the kids burn off energy at the park before the main set begins. For more nearby summer ideas, see our 2026 North Shore Milwaukee Farmers Markets Schedule, including the Thiensville Village Market.
Thursday, July 30: LP Vinyl
LP Vinyl brings the sound of Journey and classic ’80s arena rock to Village Park.
This is the night for big vocals, guitar-driven anthems and songs that make the whole lawn want to sing. If your summer playlist includes “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Faithfully” or other ’80s favorites, this concert is built for you.
Best for: Families with older kids, classic rock fans and anyone looking for a higher-energy concert night.
Pro tip: July evenings can still be warm, so consider pairing the concert with a pre-show cool-down. Our Greater Milwaukee Splash Pad Guide includes Thiensville Village Park’s splash pad and other nearby water-play stops.
Thursday, Aug. 20: The LoveMonkeys Final Tour
The season wraps up Aug. 20 with The LoveMonkeys on their final tour.
Longtime Milwaukee-area music fans know The LoveMonkeys for their high-energy mix of rock, pop, reggae and country influences. Their shows are built for dancing, singing and ending the summer on a celebratory note.
Because this is the season finale — and part of the band’s final tour — expect this to be one of the most popular nights of the series.
Best for: A big group outing, end-of-summer celebration or anyone who wants one more classic Wisconsin summer night before school-year routines return.
What to Expect at Eats & Beats
Eats & Beats is exactly what it sounds like: live music plus plenty of food and drink options in the heart of Thiensville.
The concerts are casual and family-friendly. You’ll see people arriving with folding chairs, picnic blankets, kids, strollers and groups of neighbors meeting up after work. Food trucks make it easy to turn the concert into dinner, and the beverage area gives grown-ups a chance to enjoy a relaxed summer evening without needing a full restaurant reservation.

What to Bring
A little planning makes the night easier:
Lawn chairs or a picnic blanket
Sunscreen for the early evening
Bug spray
Refillable water bottles
Cash or cards for food vendors
Sweatshirts or light jackets for kids once the sun goes down
Wipes or napkins for food truck dinners and ice cream
Families with younger kids may want to arrive closer to 5 p.m. to enjoy dinner and the earlier part of the show. If you’re coming mainly for the music, arriving a little early will help with parking and finding a good spot.
Getting There and Parking
Thiensville Village Park is located at 250 Elm St. in downtown Thiensville, just north of Mequon and about 15 miles north of downtown Milwaukee.
Free parking is typically available in village lots and on nearby streets, but the most popular concert nights can get busy. If you’re meeting friends, consider carpooling or arriving early enough to walk a few blocks.
The park’s downtown location also makes it easy to turn Eats & Beats into a fuller evening: grab dinner, stop for dessert, browse nearby businesses or pair the concert with a walk along the Milwaukee River.
