Nightmare on Elm Street 2026: Date, Hours and Schedule

Get those costumes ready: Nightmare on Elm Street returns to Thiensville on Thursday, October 29, 2026, with business trick-or-treating, a party in Village Park and plenty of Halloween fun for kids, adults and even costumed pets.

Organized by Downtown Thiensville, the celebration stretches across the village’s business district before continuing at Thiensville Village Park.

Nightmare on Elm Street 2026 Details

Date: Thursday, October 29, 2026

Business Trick-or-Treat: 4–6 p.m.

Party in the Park: 4–7 p.m.

Location: Thiensville Village Park and participating businesses along Main Street and Green Bay Road

Trick-or-Treat Through Downtown Thiensville

From 4–6 p.m., families can make their way through the Downtown Thiensville business district, where participating local businesses will welcome costumed trick-or-treaters.

Party at Thiensville Village Park

The Halloween fun continues from 4–7 p.m. at Thiensville Village Park, with activities planned throughout the evening.

The 2026 lineup includes:

• A live DJ

• Trunk-or-treat

• Food trucks

• Hayrides

• Family-friendly games and activities

• Emergency vehicle demonstrations

• A silent movie

• Free candy

Join the Pumpkin Hunt

Families can follow a special map through the park to search for hidden pumpkins. Children who complete the hunt can win candy and take home their own mini pumpkin.

Enter the Costume Cauldron

Children, adults and pets who arrive in costume will each receive a free raffle ticket for the Costume Cauldron prize drawing.

Winners are scheduled to be announced at 6:30 p.m., so stick around to see whether someone in your crew takes home a prize.

Tips for Families

With business trick-or-treating and the park celebration happening at the same time, families may want to begin their evening downtown before heading to Village Park.

A few things to bring:

• Costumes suitable for walking

• Trick-or-treat bags or buckets

• Comfortable shoes

• An extra layer for a cool October evening
