Whitefish Bay

Whitefish Bay Farmers’ Market – Saturdays (8:30 am–12:30 pm) at Silver Spring Drive (corner of Santa Monica)​ This weekly open-air market features fresh local produce, baked goods and artisan crafts. Shoppers will find live music and occasional kids’ activities, making it a lively family-friendly morning downtown​.

Whitefish Bay Fourth of July Parade & Celebration – Friday, July 4, 2025 (11:30 am parade, festivities through evening)​. The annual Independence Day parade steps off at 11:30 am (Kent Ave & Silver Spring) and marches to Klode Park. The afternoon in Klode Park features live music, children’s games and food trucks. A fireworks show at 9:20 pm caps the night. (Bring chairs/blankets; the Civic Foundation supplies free treats and live tunes on the lawn)​.

Sidewalk Sale – Friday–Saturday, July 25–26, 2025 (9:00 am–5:00 pm) on Silver Spring Drive​. Downtown merchants put goods on sale in the street for a fun shopping festival. On Saturday, the park at School House hosts a “Kids’ Adventure Zone” (climbing wall, crafts, games) so the whole family can enjoy a day of bargains and outdoor entertainment​.

Shorewood

Shorewood Fourth of July – Friday, July 4, 2025 (3 pm parade, fireworks at dusk). A mid-afternoon parade rolls down Oakland Ave at 3 pm (with flags and colorful floats). The parade culminates at Atwater Park, where the evening ends with a spectacular fireworks show over the riverbank. The Shorewood Foundation and local sponsors put on this free event each year – it’s a cheerful community celebration with something for all ages​.

Milwaukee Brat House Summerfest ShuttleJuly 3–5, 2025, noon to midnight. For a convenient trip to Summerfest, consider taking the complimentary shuttle offered by the Milwaukee Brat House at 4022 N Oakland Ave. Shuttles run continuously from noon to midnight, and the service is complimentary with any food or beverage purchase. Glendale

Live @ The Oasis Summer Concerts – Wednesdays (6:30–8:30 pm) at Richard E. Maslowski Community Park (2200 W. Bender Rd)​. This free weekly concert series features a variety of music. Notable dates include July 16 (Kids Night with Kid Boogie Down Dance Party – energetic children’s music)​, and other family-friendly acts. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics or buy dinner from food trucks. Every concert is “weather permitting,” so check local updates before heading out.

Glendale 4th of July Celebration – Friday, July 4, 2025 (10:00 am–dusk) at Kletzsch Park (Milwaukee River Pkwy)​. A full-day, family-friendly festival. The Children’s Parade starts at 10:00 am (kids in red-white-blue costumes, with goody bags)​. Afternoon activities (starting around 4:30 pm) include a food truck festival (diverse cuisine stalls), bouncy houses, a dunk tank, and other games​. As dusk falls, a grand fireworks display lights up the sky​. This event is perfect for all ages – pack a lawn chair and enjoy patriotic fun for kids and adults alike​.

Fox Point

Rock the Fox Concert: The Spiders – Wednesday, July 16, 2025 (6:00–8:30 pm) at Longacre Pavilion​. Another free evening show in the series. The Spiders cover classics from Elvis Presley through David Bowie. Families can enjoy live music together under the stars (food trucks and beer garden are usually on site)​.

Fox Point Fourth of July Parade – Friday, July 4, 2025 (8:30–10:30 am) at Longacre Pavilion​. A patriotic morning for families. Kids bring decorated bikes for the bike parade: bike decorating starts at 8:30 am, followed by the parade at 9:00 am. When the parade returns around 9:45 am, an ice cream social begins at the Pavilion. (Pete’s Pops provides free frozen treats).

Doctors Park Weed Out - Saturday, July 12, 2025 (9:00am to noon). Friends of Doctors Park is hosting a Weed Out. Dress appropriately and bring gloves, tools will be provided to volunteers.

Friendship Circle Bike4Friendship – Sunday, July 20, 2025 (7:30 am) starting at Friendship Circle in Fox Point. An inclusive bike ride supporting people with disabilities and mental health challenges. Choose from a 1-mile family walk/roll to 100-mile cycling challenge: breakfast starts at 7:30 am, festivities with horse rides and bounce house at 8:30 am, followed by community send-off at 9:00 am. Longer routes end at Conservancy for Healing and Heritage in Franklin. $50 registration, advance signup at fcwi.org/bike.

The Fox Point Farmers Market operates every Saturday between June 14 to October 11, between 8 AM and noon, at 7330 N. Santa Monica Blvd., in the parking lot of the North Shore Congregational Church.

Bayside

Bayside 4th of July Parade – Friday, July 4, 2025 at 9 am (start at Village Hall, 9075 N Regent Rd)​. The Village’s annual Independence Day parade steps off at 9:00 am. Marchers head east on Ellsworth Lane, then loop through the neighborhood to finish at Ellsworth Park. The community is invited to line the streets or converge at the park; often, a small celebration or cookout follows the parade. (Gather at Village Hall by 8:45 am for best viewing)​.

Rhonda Jean & KZ Duo – Monday, July 7, 2025 at 6:30 pm (Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Pavilion, 1111 E. Brown Deer Rd., Bayside). The Sound Waves series opens with sing-along Americana classics—think Dylan, Parton, and the Beatles—perfect for family dancing on the lawn. (Bring a blanket or chairs; beverages available for purchase.)

Bayside Beer Garden – Sunday, July 12, 2025 (3:30–9:00 pm) at Ellsworth Park. Outdoor family-friendly events hosted by Torzala Brewing Co. On each date, beer and soda trucks park in the park, and food vendors (like Atwood BBQ) serve dinner. Live music plays and children’s games are set up on the lawn. (Adults enjoy the beer garden seating; kids have space to run and play). These are free-admission evenings where neighbors can gather, picnic and relax in the park​.

Ryan Meisel’s Spiritual Currents – Monday, July 14, 2025 at 6:30 pm (Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Pavilion). World flutes, jazz sax, storytelling, and an all-ages drum circle create an immersive, nature-inspired performance. (Outdoor show moves to Great Hall if it rains.)

American Red Cross Community Blood Drive – Tuesday, July 16, 2025, 1–5 pm, at The Apartments at Elizabeth Residence Bayside, 9279 N. Port Washington Rd. Blood donation event hosted by the American Red Cross to help address the critical summer blood shortage. July historically sees blood supplies run dangerously low, and in July 2024, the Red Cross declared an emergency shortage after donations dropped 25%—the lowest in 20 years. This year they're being proactive with July blood drives to prevent another crisis. Every donation can help save lives during this critical time. The Souvenirs – Monday, July 21, 2025 at 6:30 pm (Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Pavilion). Semi-acoustic folk, blues, rock, and soul with rich harmonies evoke Springsteen, Prine, and Raitt for a multigenerational crowd. (Arrive early to explore the trails.)

The All-Star Supper Club Band – Monday, July 28, 2025 at 6:30 pm (Schlitz Audubon Nature Center Pavilion). A laid-back trio delivers instrumental favorites from the 1950s to today—ideal for a relaxed summer send-off and a little barefoot dancing. (Concert is free with admission or membership.)

Mequon

Whitefish Bay Little League Night with the Chinooks – Thursday, July 10 at 6:35 pm at Moonlight Graham Field (Concordia University)

The dog-friendly patio transforms into a lively gathering spot, and $2 from every drink sold benefits local rescues and nonprofits. Jonathan Clark House Heritage Days – Saturday, July 12, 2025 (12:00–3:00 pm) at the Jonathan Clark House Museum. Family-friendly living history event where visitors experience 1800s Wisconsin farm life through interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. Families can participate in traditional chores like rope making, butter churning, clothes washing, and herb gathering, while farm animals roam the grounds and outdoor games entertain children. The Lindenwood 4-H Club will showcase their livestock including chickens, ducks, and rabbits, plus serve complimentary dairy refreshments. Museum tours provide additional historical context about early Wisconsin settler life.

Navy Band Great Lakes Performance – Wednesday, July 16, 2025 (5:00–7:00 pm) at Mequon Public Market. Live musical performance as part of Milwaukee Navy Week (July 14-20) celebrating the U.S. Navy's 250th anniversary. Over fifty sailors will be in the area for community outreach, service projects, and public events throughout the week. This free concert offers families a chance to enjoy live music while showing support for Navy servicemen and women during this special milestone celebration.

Pet Walk Ozaukee – Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 8:30 am, Rotary Park, 4100 Highland Rd., Mequon. Enjoy a scenic walk through Pukaite Woods, then stay for a festival filled with music, vendors, food, kids’ games, and a pet costume contest—all to support the Wisconsin Humane Society. (Early-bird registration includes a T-shirt, walk entry, festival access, and fundraising prizes; pets welcome.)

Mequon Nature Preserve Annual Summer Playdate – Saturday, July 26, 2025 (11:00 am–2:00 pm) at Mequon Nature Preserve. Free family event featuring games, crafts, snacks, and live music by Rohn Larson. Children and families can enjoy outdoor activities and nature-based fun in a relaxed preserve setting. This annual gathering brings the community together for an afternoon of entertainment and outdoor play suitable for all ages.

Rise & Shine in the Park – Thursday, July 31, 2025 (evening event) at Rotary Park (7300 N. Mequon Rd)​ An annual Christian music festival that has become a local summer tradition. Families are invited to this open-air worship concert featuring popular Christian bands and worship artists. Held under the stars, it’s a free, all-ages event emphasizing faith and community. Thiensville

Eats & Beats Concert Series – Thursday, July 17, 2025 (5:00–9:00 pm) at Village Park​ Thiensville’s free summer concert series. On July 17 Motown Revue with Christopher’s Project brings soul and Motown favorites​. Each date has local food trucks and a beer/wine garden. Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy the music together – kids often dance and run on the grass as parents relax.

KidsFest – Saturday, July 26, 2025 (12:00–5:00 pm) at Village Park (250 Elm St)​. A free outdoor carnival designed just for children. Featuring live shows and music, a petting zoo, pony rides, crafts and carnival games, KidsFest offers entertainment for every age. (Previous years have included magicians, jugglers and face-painting). Food trucks and ice cream keep families fueled. It’s a must-do mid-summer festival for the whole family to play and celebrate summer in Thiensville​.

North Shore Family Adventures

North Shore Family Adventures was created by a dad to two (one boy, one girl), who is always looking for entertainment and activities in all season for his kids. His favorite area hike is Lion’s Den Gorge and favorite biking path is the Oak Leaf Trail. Come explore with us.
