Important Guidelines from the Village

Please join us in following these important guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for everyone:

  • Blankets and chairs may be placed along the parade route after 6:00 am on July 4th.

  • During the parade, please keep children safely at the curb. Moving vehicles and large floats can severely injure children who run into the street.

  • Picnic tables must remain within the fenced-off picnic area at Klode Park. Note that tablecloths do not reserve a table.

  • Limited space is available for private encampments on the south edge of Klode Park. Tents may be set up after 6:00 am, adhering strictly to marked areas to accommodate vendors.

  • Large umbrellas, awnings, or tents must be taken down before the fireworks begin.

  • Blankets for the fireworks can be laid out after 4:00 pm. Please help preserve the grass at Klode Park; tarps are prohibited and subject to removal.

  • Personal fireworks that fly, explode, or cause fire are illegal. Enjoy the Sendik’s fireworks show and leave fireworks to the professionals.

Event volunteers dedicate their time to making this event exceptional, but they cannot enforce policies everywhere. Let’s go above and beyond to accommodate neighbors, newcomers, and ensure the entire community enjoys the festivities!
