Brown Deer Offering Pickleball Court Rentals at Ten Mile Park

Brown Deer Parks and Recreation has opened reservations for the pickleball courts at Ten Mile Park

The new rental option is especially helpful for players who want to avoid arriving at a busy park without knowing whether a court will be available.

More to Explore at Ten Mile Park

Ten Mile Park is located along the Oak Leaf Trail corridor and includes more than pickleball. The recreation area also offers a basketball court, nature play areas, a bicycle pump track and memorial benches to rest along the trail.

That combination makes the park a particularly good choice for families whose members may not all want to play pickleball. One group can take the court while other family members ride bikes, play basketball or explore the park.

Visitors can also learn about other community facilities and programs through the Village of Brown Deer Parks and Recreation Department.

Pickleball Continues to Grow

Brown Deer’s reservation program is the latest development in a rapidly growing local pickleball scene.

Fox Point has explored the possibility of adding new facilities, as detailed in our coverage of the new pickleball courts proposed in Fox Point.

Brown Deer is also planning additional courts as part of the future North Shore Rotary Park, a proposed recreation space along North Green Bay Avenue.

Nearby Bayside expanded its options by creating six dedicated courts at Ellsworth Park. Read more about the Bayside tennis and pickleball court improvements.

Other communities have wrestled with how to accommodate the sport’s popularity while responding to concerns from nearby residents. North Shore Family Adventures has also covered the pickleball ordinance discussion in Whitefish Bay.

Before You Reserve

Court availability and rental policies may change, so confirm the current schedule and rules while making your reservation. Since reservations must be completed at least seven days in advance, groups should plan early—particularly when scheduling a weekend game or gathering.

With affordable reserved court time and plenty of other recreation nearby, Ten Mile Park adds another useful option for North Shore families ready to pick up a paddle.
