Step Back in Time at Jonathan Clark House Heritage Days
If your crew loves hands-on learning, friendly farm animals, and a good dose of Wisconsin history, mark your calendars for Heritage Days at the Jonathan Clark House Museum in Mequon. The 1848 stone farmhouse opens its doors—and its lawn—on Saturday, June 14, and Saturday, July 12, 2025, from noon to 3 pm for two fee-free afternoons that bring the past to life.
What to Expect
Interactive Chores & Crafts
Young historians can roll up their sleeves to churn butter, twist their own rope, wash clothes the old-fashioned way, and gather herbs from the kitchen garden. Friendly guides—both adults and costumed JCH Young Historians—are on hand to share stories and demonstrate each task.Farm Animals on Site
Members of the Lindenwood 4-H Club will introduce their goats, sheep, and more, showing visitors how local youth raise and care for animals today.Dress-Up, Games & Tours
Kids are welcome to don bonnets, aprons, straw hats, or suspenders from the museum’s dress-up basket—or arrive in their own pioneer garb. Classic outdoor games dot the yard, and guided house tours reveal what life was like for the Clark family in the mid-1800s.Dairy Treats to Top It Off
Cool down with ice-cold milk and other dairy refreshments, courtesy of the Ozaukee County Dairy Promotion Committee and the Lindenwood 4-H Club.
