Shorewood 8-9 All Stars Win First District 1 Championship

The Shorewood Little League 8-9 All Stars made history by capturing Shorewood's first-ever District 1 Championship at their age level! After a thrilling tournament run, they pulled away late to defeat Menomonee Falls 8-3 in the championship game at West Bend on Friday night.

After dropping their opening game to Wauwatosa 8-6, they bounced back to defeat Glendale 5-4, dominating Beckum 18-1, and then outlasting Glendale again 12-8 in the district semifinal before claiming the crown with their 8-3 victory over Menomonee Falls.

While they came up just short of the ultimate prize, the 10-12 All Stars have plenty to be proud of after their impressive tournament run. The team went 3-1 in district play, including dominant victories over Glendale (2-0) and Menomonee Falls (10-0), plus a thrilling 3-2 semifinal win over West Bend. They finished runner-up to the Whitefish Bay squad in the District 1 Final.
