Whitefish Bay Brings Back the Kids’ 4th of July Bike Brigade
A beloved Whitefish Bay 4th of July tradition is making its return.
The Kids’ Bike Brigade is back this year, inviting young riders to decorate their bikes in red, white, and blue and join the Independence Day celebration in true hometown style.
Children up to age 12 are invited to participate. Riders can deck out their bikes, trikes, scooters, or wagons with patriotic flair and become part of the parade fun after the floats and the legendary Badger Band make their way down the route.
Kids can join in as the parade passes their viewing spot, making this an easy and flexible way for families to take part in the day.
The Fourth of July in Whitefish Bay joins other local communities in this tradition, including Fox Point’s Fourth of July parade.
How the Bike Brigade Works
The Bike Brigade will follow the floats and Badger Band along the parade route, giving kids a chance to show off their most creative and patriotic rides.
A panel of judges will be watching for the most impressive displays of spirit, creativity, and red-white-and-blue energy.
The grand prize winner will receive a $500 gift certificate to Wheel & Sprocket Bike Shop in Fox Point.
All other finishers who arrive at Klode Park will receive a smaller gift certificate to Dairy Queen, Winkie’s, or Burke’s Candy, while supplies last.

Prizes will be awarded at the music stage in Klode Park following the Badger Band’s popular “5th Quarter Performance” after the parade.
If you’re planning to stick around after the parade, Klode Park is one of Whitefish Bay’s best family spots, with lake views, a playground, open space, and plenty of room to keep the celebration going.
