Sounds of Summer 2025: Whitefish Bay’s Block Party

Sounds of Summer

On Saturday, August 16 from 6-10 pm, Sounds of Summer returns with all the energy and community spirit that makes this annual celebration feel like the neighborhood's living room party—if your living room happened to stretch an entire city block.

What sets Sounds of Summer apart isn't just the eclectic mix of rock, funk, hip hop, and dance music that fills the air, or even Steve Beguhn's crowd-pleasing blend of top 40 and country hits. It's the sight of three generations swaying to the same beat, kids running between food tents while parents catch up with neighbors they haven't seen since last summer's event, and teenagers discovering that their grandparents actually have some serious dance moves.

This is Whitefish Bay at its finest—a community that knows how to celebrate together. The event embodies everything that draws families to the North Shore: genuine connections, local pride, and the kind of authentic experiences that can't be manufactured or replicated.

A Recipe for Summer Memories

The partnership between local businesses makes this celebration possible, with Sendik's bringing crowd-favorite foods to fuel the festivities and the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation ensuring the drinks flow as freely as the conversation. Add in the generous support from the Merchants of Whitefish Bay and Jamie Ludlow of Shorewest Realtors, and you have a recipe for the kind of summer evening that families talk about long after the last song fades.

So bring your dancing shoes, your appetite, and your sense of community spirit. Because on August 16, Silver Spring Drive becomes more than just a street—it becomes the stage for another chapter in Whitefish Bay's ongoing story of connection, celebration, and the simple joy of good music shared with great neighbors.

Sounds of Summer takes place Saturday, August 16, 2025, on Silver Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay. The free community event features live music, food from Sendik's, beverages from the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation, and plenty of space for dancing. Event sponsors include the Merchants of Whitefish Bay, Sendik's, and Jamie Ludlow - Shorewest Realtors.
